Ship pose

AKA Dragon

This is a great pose for three people and can be a good intro to Intermediate poses. This pose is also noteworthy in that the arms of both flyers are free and the legs of the base have a full range of mobility making it a great performance pose. See here for an example of what might be done with this pose.

Mounting

Start with the first flyer sitting on the shoulders of the base. Have the second flyer stand in front of the base and hook their arms over the feet of the first flyer. Have the second flyer lean forward and raise one leg back so that the base can hold them by the thigh. Have the second flyer shift their weight to the lifted leg and then lift the other leg to be held by the base.

Dismounting

When releasing the second flyer it is important that they keep weight on the first flyers feet to keep them balanced on the base. A sudden dismount of the second flyer might cause the flyer sitting on the shoulders of the base to loose balance and fall backwards!
